About Schiff Gold
Peter Schiff founded Euro Pacific Precious Metals in 2010. In 2014, he decided to put his name on his company to show his confidence in what it had to offer and renamed the company Schiff Gold.
Peter Schiff started his company with the goal of offering investors and affordable option for purchasing precious metals while also maintaining their trust. He promises that all customers, regardless of how much they are spending, will be treated with respect and given individual attention to help them with their purchase.
Because Schiff Gold is a high-volume dealer, they're able to offer very competitive pricing on all of their precious metals. You can feel confident that you'll get a good deal when you shop with them. Additionally, if you spend at least $250,000, you can also take advantage of their wholesale prices for even greater savings.
The team at Schiff Gold puts the customer's needs first. They aim to build long-lasting relationships with their customers to earn their trust. If you have questions about purchasing precious metals, selling bullion, or opening a Precious Metals IRA, a member of the team will be more than happy to help.
Purchasing Precious Metals
Schiff Gold works to keep the process of purchasing precious metals a simple and straightforward as possible. They offer gold, silver, platinum, and palladium coins and bars.
Compared to other precious metals investment companies, it may appear that Schiff Gold doesn't offer a very large selection of metals. According to Peter Schiff, this is intentional. They believe that the more common bullion pieces are a sounder investment and have a greater value than other pieces. They don't recommend that their clients invest in proof sets, numismatic coins, collectibles, or special editions because they don't think they are very wise investments.
Here are the different gold, silver, platinum, and palladium coins and bars currently available through Schiff Gold.
Selling Precious Metals
If you have purchased precious metals from Schiff Gold and would like to sell them back, the company will happily purchase them back from you. They will also purchase many coins and bars that you purchased from other companies. Check the website to see if the coin or bar you'd like to shown is currently being sold by Schiff Gold. If not, they may still be able to purchase it from you, but you'll need to check with one of their Precious Metals Specialists.
Once you know what you'd like to sell, start by contacting one of the Precious Metals Specialists. You can either call the company, send a message through the website, or send an email. The team member you speak with will provide you with a quote for your metals. They will also fill you in with all the details you'll need to pack and ship your metals to Schiff Gold.
Once the package arrives and your metals are authenticated, you'll receive a check or a wire transfer with your payment.
Investing in precious metals for your IRA can help you make sure you're prepared for retirement. It can offer you protection against inflation and stock market volatility while also helping you enjoy the various tax benefits that IRA holders get.

Are There Any Red Flags for Schiff Gold?
Ok, now we've covered the basics about the products and services offered by Schiff Gold. Next is to determine whether there are any red flags for this company that may suggest you should look for another company to work with.
While looking at reviews from past users doesn't guarantee you'll receive the same treatment as others, it can be very useful in learning more about a company's operations. You can start to get a feel for how you'll be treated and identify whether there are any patterns in the way customers are treated, either positively or negatively.
To gather more information about what past customers had to say about their dealings with Schiff Gold, we checked a few of our most-trusted review sites. These sites include the Better Business Bureau, Business Consumer Alliance, TrustLink, Trustpilot, and Google.
Unfortunately, online reviews for Schiff Gold were very limited. We were only able to find reviews on Google, and there were only 11 reviews total. The small number of reviews for Schiff Gold makes it more difficult to look for the patterns we referred to above. There just isn't enough data to really get a feel for the quality of the products or service the company offers.
It is entirely possible that Schiff Gold is a stellar company that would deliver the service you deserve. However, without reading through more reviews from past customers, it is more difficult to feel confident in this possibility.
Is Schiff Gold a Scam?
Do we think Schiff Gold is a scam? No, we believe that they are a legitimate company. Schiff Gold has been in business since 2010 (it was originally called Euro Pacific Precious Metals until 2014), and it doesn't seem likely that a scam company would last for 10 years. Additionally, Schiff Gold's founder, Peter Schiff, has been involved with the precious metals and financial industries for years. He is well-known in the industry and is a trusted individual.
Now that you know Schiff Gold is a legitimate company, the next thing you must decide is whether you wish to give them your business. It is your money we're talking about, so it is really your decision how you'd like to spend it and who you want to trust. We can give you our thoughts, however, which you can use to make a more informed decision.
If we were talking about investing our money in precious metals, we likely wouldn't choose Schiff Gold. There are a few things that make the company seem less appealing than one of our top-recommended precious metals investment companies.
First, as we shared above, there are hardly any online reviews available for Schiff Gold despite the fact that they have been around for over a decade. Again, this doesn't mean the company is bad, but it doesn't give one a lot of confidence that they are amazing, either.
We also wish Schiff Gold offered the option to shop online. The website doesn't display prices, and you must call to place an order. It is difficult to compare prices between different vendors if you must make a phone call to check a price. Plus, you don't know whether the salesperson is going to try to upsell you and make you spend more than you're comfortable with.
Schiff Gold's website says that their "prices are among the lowest in the business," but without actually seeing any prices listed, it is hard to verify this.
One other reason we probably wouldn't pick Schiff Gold as our first choice is that they only offer gold and silver. You don't have the option to invest in platinum or palladium to diversify your precious metals holdings even more.
