Are There Any Red Flags for Nationwide Coin & Bullion Reserve?
Looking at reviews from past customers and review organizations, such as the Better Business Bureau and the Business Consumer Alliance, is one of the best ways to determine whether there are any red flags for a company. We have found that individuals who have worked with a company can let you know a lot about how you should expect to be treated and the quality of the products you'll receive if you decide to become a customer.
As you can see from the information below, reviews for Nationwide Coin & Bullion Reserve appear to be all over the place. Reviews are above average on Trustpilot and Google, with average ratings of 4.6 and 4.2 out of 5, respectively. However, the company only has a D+ rating from the BBB, which is clearly very poor.
There is also an alert posted on the BBB's website about the company. The alert states that there has been a pattern of complaints filed by past Nationwide Coin & Bullion Reserve customers that say the company uses bait and switch tactics. According to these customer complaints, these tactics have resulted in them receiving coins that were not worth what they paid.
Is Nationwide Coin & Bullion Reserve a Scam?
While it doesn't seem that Nationwide Coin & Bullion Reserve is a full-on scam company, there do appear to be some questions regarding how it conducts business. As we mentioned above, the Better Business Bureau's website displays an alert about the company. According to multiple customers, Nationwide Coin & Bullion Reserve appears to have been using bait and switch tactics and sending coins that don't match the value that the customers paid.
For example, some customer complaints cite being talked out of purchasing a particular 1 oz coin in favor of a different coin. Then, once the coin was delivered, they noticed that the coin was only a fraction of an ounce, but still cost the same as the other 1 oz coin they were initially looking at.
The alert on the BBB's website also states that some customers have said that they never received the coins they purchased, even though they were still charged for them. Apparently, these types of complaints about bait and switch tactics and orders not being fulfilled have been taking place since at least 2017.
Nationwide Coin & Bullion Reserve responded to the allegations on the BBB's website and strongly stated that they do not use bait and switch tactics. While this may be true, it does seem troubling how many individuals have complained to the BBB. It certainly sounds like it may be a bit of a risk to decide to do business with Nationwide Coin & Bullion Reserve, but of course the decision is up to you.
We also wish that Nationwide Coin & Bullion Reserve offered a larger selection of precious metals. They don't have as many gold and silver coins or bars as you can find on other sites, and there is no option to invest in platinum or palladium.
