Frequently Asked Questions - Troubleshooting the Survivorship Care Plan Builder

In most places, you are not limited to the choices in the selection lists. You can also enter free-form text. So, go ahead and type in your entry using your keyboard.

The Cancer Care Plan Builder (Survivorship Care Plan Builder) uses a few components from Microsoft. These are typically installed during the normal SCPB installation process. However, sometimes they fail to install. If Report Viewer is not installed, you will see the error message below when you try to print. To clear this error message, please download and install Report Viewer from here at no charge.

Highlight any part of the date, and press your DeleteĀ key. The backspace may not work on some systems.

The Cancer Care Plan Builder (Survivorship Care Plan Builder) only includes templates for breast, prostate, colon and lung cancer, and lymphoma. If you wish to make a Treatment or Survivorship Care Plan for a different type of cancer, you can either use the Generic template, or you may build and add your own template.

On occasion, when users save their first Care Plan, they receive the error message below. This happens when the folder where the Survivorship Care Plan Builder (SCPB) configuration file is stored is designated as read-only. Until you clear this error, changes to the Regimen Setup, Survivorship Library, Custom Templates and autocompletion lists are not saved. (The Survivorship Care Plan you were working on has been saved.)

To correct this issue, ask your IT department to remove the read-only property from the following folder:

  • On Windows 8: %PROGRAMDATA%\NearSpace\Survivorship
  • On Windows 7: %ALLUSERSPROFILE%\NearSpace\Survivorship
  • On Windows 10: %ALLUSERSPROFILE%\Application Data\NearSpace\Survivorship
