Who is a cancer survivor?

The word “survivorship” may be used in different ways. We think of it as “the process of living with, through, and beyond cancer.” (ASCO Answers) According to this definition, cancer survivorship begins at diagnosis and includes people who continue to receive treatment to either reduce the risk of the cancer returning or to manage chronic disease.

How can Journey Forward help?

Journey Forward offers free care planning tools for healthcare providers and patients so that cancer survivors can get guidance needed to manage one’s long-term health and wellbeing. As the Institute of Medicine puts it: “Every cancer survivor should have a comprehensive care plan…to improve their health and quality of life.” We’re doing our best to make sure that happens.
